Oh the things Cooper says...

"Mom, I don't know why Dad doesn't like Christmas.... [long pause].... I know, we need to take Dad to the doctor to get 250 shots to make his heart bigger so he'll like Christmas"

Oh if only that would make Tommy like Christmas! Even his 4 year old thinks he's the Grinch and has a small heart and wonders why his Dad doesn't like Christmas. Tommy's all about Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but other than that all you get is Baahummbug! Maybe some day they'll come out with a shot for that.

Another awesome pre-school hat

I just can't get enough of all the cute hats and projects Cooper comes home with from pre-school. We just love Miss Jenny and all the fun things they do. Next week is their "Thanksgiving Day Feast"... another one we've been counting down to for a month now!

Happy Halloween

This year the boys decided it would be a Star Wars themed Halloween. This is the first Halloween that Tommy has been home for since he started his job 5 years ago, so of coarse Tommy had to get into it. We had a great time from class parties, school parades, and trick or treating. Noah and Cooper were the energizer bunny... they just kept going and going. Tyson carried his own bucket, if you tried to take it from him he would go into a full blown fit. He was a trooper going from door to door. He even tried going into one ladies house to get more candy that was on the floor. Kiara did a great job of answering the door for us, she's such a good sport! On Friday night we had Jarom and Betsy and the girls out for a family party. The kids had a great time playing all the fun Halloween games! I just love Halloween!Clone Trooper Cooper, Anakin Noah, Yoda Tyson, and Darth Vader Tommy.

HeeHaw Farms Pre-School Fieldtrip!

Cooper's pre-school went to HeeHaw Farms again this year. It is one of the highlights of his pre-school year. This time we decided to check Noah out of school, last year due to the economy the school cancelled all his fieldtrips... so this was to help make up for last year!Cooper's class... what a bunch of cute kids!
This slide was the boys favorite part, they just kept going back. I enjoyed watching Cooper go down just because of his hair!

Tyson in the 'kids' maze. He kept getting mad at the bails of hay that were in his way.

The kids get to go pick their own pumpkins. Even though they only have small pumpkins, the boys loved tromping through the pumpkin patch

Awesome cars... only bad thing I spent most of the time pushing them around because they were to hard to peddal.

Cornbelly's 2010

We went to Cornbelly's with our ward this year. The boys were so excited, they just love Cornbelly's. We were so lucky to have good weather, it made it much more enjoyable. Tyson, Kiara, Cooper, and Noah
Tyson loved throwing sand on the bouncers.
Noah, Kiara, and Cooper jumping
The very bouncy train ride... At least the boys thought it was fun.
Tommy and Tyson in the cornmaze.
I just love this picture of Tyson. He really loved running from one thing to the next.
The boys love it when Tommy throws them up in the air. Cooper seems to always get the highest

Gotta love that sunset!
Bye Bye Cornbelly's

BYU Thursday Hero

BYU Thursday Hero = Paul Thomas Peterson

He is truly a hero to all of us!
Tommy's brother Dave nominated Paul for BYU's Thursday Hero and we were so excited and grateful that he was selected. We all know he's an incredible man, but it always nice to see him honored like this. Just a little back ground Paul gratudated from Air Force Academy, but later moved to Orem and became a BYU fan. So it has been a tradition for years that when BYU plays at Air Force some of the family tries to make the trip over. With Paul's cancer we knew this might be one of the last chances to attend this game with him, so all the family bought tickets a month ago, little did we know that Paul would have another brain surgery on Sept 3rd, game day was Sept 11th (8 days later). Good news is that all the siblings already had plans made to be out here for the game. So that's what brings us to Thursday Hero (Sept 9th), Paul had only been out of the hospital for 3 days by this point in time... yes Hero! BYU has such an amazing program to do something like this. They took us for a tour of the athlectic building, yes we did get to go inside Bronco's office and see the locker room and watch a short film of BYU highlights. Then in to the practice facility to watch the last 10 mins of practice. Then the team came over and did a big cheer for Paul and one of the players talked about how it's people like Paul that help them see what life is really about. They gave him a big bag of BYU goodies and let him lead them in the cheer. All the players gave high 5's and signed a flag for him. Coach Bronco stuck around along with a couple players and talked to us for a little bit. I was really humbled by the time they took to really hear his story and to find out what kind of an amazing man Paul is. It was such a great experience for all of us. I love BYU football even more now! But I love my family even more!!! I have been reminded once again that family is the most important. All the other things are great and fun, but the memories we create with our families, that's what lasts. We love you Paul... you are our hero!

The hat on Noah's head was on Bronco's head 3 mins before this. How cool is that! Bronco just took his hat off and gave it to Noah. As you can see he's a wee bit happy about it!

I love this picture. Those little boys were so happy. I just wish their cousin Ethan could have been there too.

Cooper starts Pre School

Cooper has been so excited to start pre-school again this year. We truly are lucky to have Miss Jenny. She does such a great job and Cooper is always so excited he's ready at least 10 mins early if not 2 hours. This year his class is full of boys again, which he doesn't mind at all, let's just hope they don't drive Miss Jenny crazy! Yes I know the pictures are terrible, trying to get a good picture of Cooper is like pulling teeth... literally the amount of cry and screaming sometimes you'd think I was pulling his teeth out!

Triathlon

This was a bitter sweet day. The Share A Smile Triathlon is an annual tradition in the Peterson family. It varies from year to year on who participates, but most years there are at least a couple family members who join in, and one of those is usually Paul. So this was a hard year to watch, but at the same time it was by far the best. We had Noah, Brooke, and Ethan participate in the kids triathlon and Tommy, Emily, and Aaron in the full triathlon. And you'll notice in the pictures they're all wearing shirts that say "This one's for Juan", I'm sure most people wondered who is Juan, well that's Paul. We use to call him Juan Pablo then just cut it short to Juan. So this race was for Paul! When the kids took off on their run, Roma comes walking over with tears in her eyes, I was worried something had happened when she said, I just saw the shirts! It really was a special race for our family. And thanks to Amy for putting together those awesome shirts. The kids did an incredible job and I can't wait for them to try it again next year. And who knows maybe next year I'll give it a try.Group Shot
My Mom and Kiara made it possible for Noah to participate. They took care of Cooper and Tyson for me so I could help Noah! Thanks guys!!!
