Peterson Family Christmas Party

This year we were lucky enough to spend 3 nights at a condo up in Park City for our Peterson Christmas Party. A big Thank You to the Sanderson's that let us use their condo! We got up there on Thursday and got all settled in. The kids had plenty of time for Wii, movies, and sledding outside. The condo was in a perfect spot that the snow had been plowed up right outside the front door, so the kids spent hours just playing in the snow.

For the party we had the traditional dinner, family bingo game, and present exchange. Every year I look forward to the bingo game! Paul and Roma made family bingo cards, we got to pick out the family members pictures we want and put them on the cards, then they have cute Christmas names for each of us. They always have awesome presents for us to choose from and the boys were extremely happy with what they got. But Tyson was shaking with excitement when he saw what his Kung Zhu could do (there's a picture of it below). Noah got a survival cup with a pocket knife, it can't get any better than that for an 8 yr old... his very own pocket knife! And Cooper got a Mickey Mouse blanket, which is perfect for him because he refuses to put on warm clothes in the winter and always has to have a blanket wrapped around him. The present exchange became a cry feast. Paul and Roma gave each of the couples an Autobiography that Paul wrote... it always causes a tear or two when I look at it. But I'm so grateful to have his story and I learned so much that I didn't know. Even though there were some tears we had a great night!

Tyson with his new Kung Zhu. He was just giggling so hard!
Cooper with his new legos.
Noah got an awesome new book
Gotta love Fonduey Pooey! This is another thing I always look forward to, it's just so yummy.

Tommy and Tyson. It might look all nice and sunny, but it was so cold. That it way Tyson it so bundled up. He didn't really need the goggles, but he sure enjoyed wearing them.

On Saturday night we played "Minute to Win it". Amy and Aaron have all the games and set everything up for us. Now I'm not usually one who loves to embarrass myself in front of family and friends, but this game was so much fun. I love games that you start out with all the friendly competition and who's better than who, but by the time the games over you really don't care who one or lost. I can't wait to play it again!

Ethan, Brooke, Noah, Isaac, Cooper, and Pyper. They were trying to move a cookie from their forehead to their mouth without touching it.

On the night of the 31st we realized after putting the kids to bed that it was New Year's Eve. I guess the older you get the less you care about all the woopla and celebrating that goes on. So we did a nice count down quietly yelled, "Happy New Year" and went to bed. Looking back over this last year it's been a crazy one. For our little family it's been good. Tommy was blessed with the perfect work schedule to be home for all the important things this year. It was so nice to have him here when we really needed him! But for some of our family and friends this last year has been one big roller coaster ride, and we've been right there on the ride with them. I have to say looking back I'm so grateful for all those trials in that they have brought us closer to our Heavenly Father and to each other. Our relationships are so much stronger with so many people now and I'm truly grateful for that. So here's to another year, lets hope it's a good one!!!

We have so many fun pictures. If you want to see more just click on the picture below.

Happy Birthday Tommy!!!

Once again... Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to Tommy! We tried to spend the day celebrating Tommy's Birthday. Breakfast, presents, and PF Changs, it doesn't get much better then that. Our Anniversary celebrations come later :)Tommy opening presents
The boys and Kiara TP'd our room while we were gone to dinner. When we got home Noah kept trying to get me to go in my room and I couldn't figure out why. They did a great job.

This is what we like to call
'Gun Totin' Elf Tyson'

Cooper's Christmas Activities

Between Pre-school and Speech Cooper had plenty of fun Christmas activities going on. Here are a couple of them. The gingerbread train he made in pre-school. You can already see candy missing... he couldn't even make it home before he started eating it.
This is Mrs. Clause at speech. She came and talked about each of the kids and gave them a present. Cooper is lucky to have such great speech teachers too!

Tyson's new obsession...

Shoes!!! It doesn't matter whose shoes, what size they are, or if they even match. If there are shoes laying around Tyson will try wearing them. I have to say he's got great balance for only being 18 months old!
The boys had just come in from playing outside and had their boots sitting by the front door and next thing you know here comes Tyson.
